Better than a Chromebook

The price of this model is comparable to Chromebook models, only with the powerful Windows 10. Much better! We think Chrome OS is boring and lacks anything but an experience that could be seen as a small step up from a basic tablet. It's worth mentioning that 8GB of RAM is the perfect starting point for Windows 10, and will suffice if you opt for Linux instead (stay away from 4GB solutions as you'll end up being disappointed with their performance. ). It's a great option for home users who want to surf the web, check email, stream their favorite shows, or even play some games in the cloud (only uninstalled games that require a solid graphics card and powerful hardware). . It also works great in the corporate world as well as on the regular workstation. The internal drive is actually M.2, but it's SATA, not PCIe (and they mention it). No wonder given the price of everything, and staying current in today's evolving PC industry is absolutely essential. Especially if you're looking for a laptop this thin and hoping it really works. Unfortunately, there are no USB-C ports for gaming, but you do have at least two USB 3.0 ports. We are so fed up with PC manufacturers to this day implementing USB 2.0 ports in modern devices. You can see this in our review of them. Both are USB 3.0, so that's a plus. You also get a mini HDMI output (but no cable, so you're on your own), a headset jack, and a microSD card slot. The touchpad is huge and responsive with multi-point touch. It works quite well and the size is good when using drawing/photography software. The screen looks great. It's not the best screen we've come across or anything, but for its price it's crisp and clear and justifies its value. This is not a touchscreen* (just in case you have any questions or concerns about this). Part of the page specifically mentioned it as a typo. While they will fix it, it should not reflect the quality of the actual product. Once you go through the Windows setup screen and get to the desktop, you may find (we found) that the installed Google Chrome browser is in Chinese. You can change this or reinstall Chrome to fix it. Everything else seems fine. To be honest, we can't deduct any points from him for that. This is a laptop designed by a Chinese company trying to make itself known all over the world. Small steps. Again, when it comes to gaming, this is an entry-level laptop that kills for being an entry-level laptop, but it's not a high-end laptop that will kill in games for directly installed games. . There is no built-in Nvidia chipset or anything like that. However, it should handle cloud-hosted games well, as most of the resources are spent in the cloud, allowing virtually any PC to participate. Overall, we really like this entry-level laptop. A tiered solution for those who don't need a lot of power but still need something powerful enough to actually work. We've encountered many 4GB solutions in this price range, none of which perform well. This hits right in the head and goes forward as expected. A very pleasant surprise and competes well in its range. ** If you found our review helpful, please rate it below so we know. This helps us to provide quality feedback in the future.
