Adhesive doesn't stick

Purchased to mount an extension under the table top for easy access to the power source without damaging the wood. The power supply failed a month after installation. It also leaves a fairly large gap between the extension and the surface. Might work for a very light extension cord, but otherwise I'd advise looking elsewhere for mounting solutions.
