Review on πŸš— Thule Roof Rack System Fit Kit: Streamline Your Vehicle's Roof Storage by Christian Byrd

Very well designed and built luggage rack

This review consists of 3 parts: 47" Aeroblade, 480R Leg Packs and Kit1064 Fit Kit. I have an old Yakima kickstand snowboarding. He spent a few years in the attic and in order not to lose the footpads I taped them to the Q towers.I don't see the need for tape for the Thule system.Design and Construction Any of the above Parts mentioned is as good as it looks in the photos I was very impressed I don't think the instructions came with the blades or the 1064 fit but they were included Bags for cross legged 480R Easiest installation guide to find Go to the Thule website, click on the installation guide and enter your vehicle details, select your trunk and then download the PDF installation line down. You need 3 sizes to install them. stand; 1. Distance between stacks of bags on blades2. the distance between your front leg pack and the windshield3. Distance between the front and rear knives. Once you have these 3 numbers (which relate to the make and model of the vehicle) search YouTube for "How to install a Thule 480 Traverse roof rack provided by Rack Outfitters". There are no words in this 5 minute professionally made video. It just shows the man setting up the rack, with text where needed. With the help of this video, Rack Outfitters made this setup really solid. As high as I find Thule, I'm returning mine. It won't let me take a kayak out of the garage in the back of my Tacoma. I don't think this stance is too high, and I don't think my kayak is too high (it's a WS Tarpon120). I don't think my Tacoma is too big with 31" tires. I'm wrong about the architecture of my house. What was sold to us as a '2 car attached garage' might more accurately be described as a 1.5 car garage. Or 1 car. with space to bypass it. I'd really like to speak to someone in modern home construction who has decided that 7 feet is a reasonable height for a garage door. Of the 4 trucks I've owned while living in this house, only 2 would fit in my garage. In order for me to be able to drive a kayak out of my garage on it, it has to sit flush (or nearly) with the top of the cabin is like the only Thule Xporter 500 kit that does just that right out of the box. At $584 on Amazon compared to the $372 I paid for this setup, that's a pretty high price, but based on my opinion of this system I'm confident it will be similarly designed. That extra $200 saves me 5-10 minutes every time I need to load the kayak. IMHO, it's worth it.
