Review on Portable Cassette Converter from Encore Technology by Eric Williamson

This might be the worst product I have ever bought. The construction is simple, but the player is a piece of cheap plastic junk. The speaker stopped working an hour after I used it, and it turned off completely after I finished recording about four songs. It always turns off automatically when I play a cassette and yes I've tested many different cassettes - same thing. I remember a few years ago I had a cheap player that did the same thing. As for the recording and sound quality, it's just embarrassing. This slows down the sound and is of course very noticeable when recording, and a slight humming can also be heard during the recordings. I was excited about this product as I have so many cassettes that I would like to convert to mp3. But you get what did I pay for, what can I expect from $24.95? I've learned my lesson. I got this from a catalog that advertised it as one of their best selling items; I feel sorry for those buying this as a Christmas present. I will get my money back and look for a better product.
