Wow, it's hard to capture the full effect on video. I kept backing away from the stove. It felt like I had to wear EOD armor. Although water and steam shot out of the pressure relief valve before it started pouring through the coffee (I didn't fully grab it or tamp it down), the pressure was so great that there was still water in the bottom chamber for which the espresso was made was less than advertised. To make matters worse, the coffee had an odd metallic taste even after the third use. I bought this to avoid aluminum given the possible adverse effects associated with cooking and storing food, particularly acidic foods which have been shown to be leaching. Unfortunately, this stainless steel pan didn't fare as well as the cheapest Moka aluminum pan.
