All the excitement may well be from the transition from the "ancient" Pentium 4 2.8 GHz (corresponding configuration of the rest) to this miracle of technology. And it is likely that those whose system is not yet so outdated and will not see much difference. It is a pity that there are still significantly fewer x64 programs than x32. But if you manage to find them, then the difference x32 vs. x64 is very, very noticeable and pleasing to the eye, mind and everything else. Knowledgeable people advised that it would not need to be changed for another 5 years. And so far I really believe in it.
