Solid build quality, great stability, wide base, high elongation and high quality carbon graphite. I have a heavy camera and adding a large lens makes the problem worse. I'm primarily a landscape photographer and although this tripod is a bit heavy I carry it in my backpack to remote locations. I bought this after returning from a trip to photograph canyons and mountains in Utah. My old tripod failed at almost every point I needed to keep it from failing. I have used this tripod in harsh environments, mountains, rocks, sand dunes, ocean waves, tide pools, rain and wind, it has done everything I needed and more. Good product.
