I bought this because of the convertible crossbody backpack/shoulder strap for visiting museums and sightseeing in NYC. This feature was useful in galleries where bags need to be carried in the front. Thanks to the pull strap design, a quick conversion to a shoulder strap is easy. I love that it uses the same straps as backpack straps so it doesn't droop under the bag in shoulder mode (most convertible bags don't have this). The only problem with shoulder mode is that the weight in the bag lengthens the straps. I couldn't keep the adjustable buckles in place - the weight of the bag and the softness of the strap pulled them out. It wasn't bad, just had to stop a few times and correct them. In general, the bag is of excellent quality! Well-made materials and smooth zippers. I chose gray and I liked the color. I didn't like the position of the main zip. It should be larger - larger than a top loading bag. Yes, you can put a magazine or an iPad in here, among other things, but you have to take them out to get to the back pocket. I pretty much used the top space for the folded cardigan. It can't be used for much more. The side pockets are great for a small water bottle or umbrella. And I hid my phone and money in a hidden pocket on my back, which worked really well. Overall a solid bag.
