This is a well made chair with very good padding (in this price range). It seems very durable, does not make creaking noises and other problems. Our legs are about two inches wider than other chairs of this size in our office, so I think tipping is less likely. I'm taking off a star because the chair doesn't go deep enough! I have it set to the lowest position and I can't get my feet completely under my computer bay. I'm about 6 feet tall and weigh 200 pounds. I think that those who are smaller will not have this problem. The chair that was replaced went down about 2 inches and was perfect for me. I also miss the recliner knob that many chairs have. This chair has an almost vertical backrest and there is no way to adjust it.
