I want to start with being the Saucony guy until they made treads cheap and they wore out after 50 miles. I was then a Brooks guy for a few years and then they changed the trance shoes so that it was like walking in a completely different shoe (cheap shoes). Then I switched to Asics. I've tried and loved Asics in the past, but I was still running my brooks until this year when I discovered that the Brooks trance I was running in was killing my feet and calf muscles. I reached into my closet and pulled out an Asics 3020 from a few years ago and I was ready to go. I soon learned that Asics had discontinued the 3020s and ended up buying a "new replacement shoe" GT-3000. They were different shoes and I was frustrated and bought a pair of Mizuno Wave Inspire 9 and they didn't fit either. I've always hesitated to buy Kinsei because they were never on the list of sustainable shoes. In the end I said "what have I got to lose" and bought it. I know you can't call them particularly stable shoes, but for me and my large flat feet they fit perfectly. An hour after receiving them I was walking in the shoes and I was in heaven! So after spending a few hundred dollars looking for the perfect "stabilization shoe," I found what I was looking for and it was there all along. I should have followed the advice in the article I read about these shoes. I remember the author mentioning "stability quality" shoes, but like I said; They were never on a list I knew as "stability shoes" so they were never ridden. The shoes felt good and I didn't have the calf fatigue that I get with all the new clunky stability shoes on the market; including Asics Kayano! I didn't feel a lot of pressure on my joints either. I am a heavy person (over 200lbs) and shoes are extremely important for my weight, in my opinion they are the "best of the best".
