Review on πŸ”Œ 10ft Ultra Low Loss Coaxial Extension Cable, Ancable N Male to RP-SMA Male Connector, Ideal for Yagi TP-Link 2.4GHz Omni Antenna, APs, WiFi, ALFA Extender/Transceiver/Repeater/Router/Amplifier by Gary Generale

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Good cable but not a real LMR-200 as advertised.

See update below: This cable is well built and works flawlessly. However, real Times Microwave Systems LMR-200 always has the cable type and manufacturer's name stamped or clearly printed on the jacket along the length of the cable. There are absolutely no markings on this cable. Substitute! The supplement specifically states "LMR-200 cable", not "LMR-200 type". I used a ten foot length of 5 GHz wireless Wi-Fi bridge to connect the bridge router to the boosted antenna. Any cable loss is extremely critical. I used the cable to complete my project but the replacement cable of unknown quality was not appreciated. I have no direct way of verifying the features listed in the product description. Star removed for false advertising and product replacement. Is the imported LMR-200 replacement cable the same as the genuine LMR-200 cable? Of course the supplier will say yes it is. . Update: I wasn't happy with the performance of my setup and suspected that the signal loss in this cable could be improved. I purchased a 10 foot cable of original Times Microwave Systems LMR-400 coaxial cable. Improved signal by 3dB. Because the Ancable product was advertised as the LMR-200 and not the LMR-400, this comparison is not valid. However, the cable that Ancable supplied wasn't labeled, so I couldn't check the actual specs. At 5 GHz, the signal loss in a coaxial cable can be significant. I had to send this cable back immediately and use the genuine and thicker LMR cable from the start. Take this into account when making your selection. I'm keeping my 4 star rating as the cable worked well.

Pros
  • Used in most connections between 3G/4G/LTE cellular modems, wireless access points/routers, range extenders, PCI cards, access points and antennas.
Cons
  • Upgradeable
