Purchased after reading that several people had it installed on their 4Runner. Well, this product is too large in width due to the storage spaces on the sides at the back. He also uses suction cups on the cord to pull it from side to side. After struggling with this product for an hour and trying to piece together everything I needed, I finally decided it wasn't worth it. The rear seat in the 4Runner is a 40/60 split, and the trunk actually connects to the rear seat headrests, but doesn't have a split to work with. So when you lie down with one side down, the other side stretches a lot. I know I could try closing the Velcro so it stays on the carpets, but in the west Texas heat it wouldn't take long with our dogs if we wanted to take them on car rides. I'm sure there are many cars this will work for, but I don't recommend it for the 4 runner.
