Too many reviewers seem to compare this radio to expensive portable radios. This is a good value radio with some unique features. If that's important to you, then this is top of the class. The radio does an excellent job of playing media through the USB input. It pauses and moves forward or backward if you hold down the arrow keys. It will not hold your position in the recording if you turn it on or off. I've never used the card slot. If - like me - you are looking for these features, then buy this radio. It's about the only one that has them and they work. The sound is predictable from a single smaller speaker, and the volume can be turned up quite a bit. The radio picks up well. The transmitter key is essentially a sticker behind a tuning tag. I have a hump but it doesn't affect performance. The reality is that anyone in their fifties or so will remember this setting from the battery-powered radios of the '70s - it's less accurate than a general understanding of where you are on the dial. The internal battery holds a decent charge, the flashlight works. Yes, the fork is the cheapest I've seen, but so what? It looks like a pretty cheap build so I hope I never give it up. However, I would buy it again if needed.
