Inner rivet not long enough

Inner rivet not long enough to fit through the hole in the back door. It's also made out of cheap rubber and will break if pushed in too hard. Now I have a bumper with no rivets to attach the device to the truck. Looks like I'll buy a real screw or some other replacement.
