I noticed that some of the seller's answers were incorrect, so I want to double check. First, this product is made in China, not in the US. This is stated on the packaging as well as on the website. This product is also not dishwasher safe, it is barely washable. That's what it says on the packaging. They stated that it was made from beech wood, which is entirely possible as it is a non-porous wood that nothing sticks to easily. This could explain why the heads come loose with a little flushing. My basting brush actually fell off just taking it out of the box. Also, they seem to have tried sealing the wood with polyurethane. And judging by the smell, it doesn't even seem like they tried to cure him properly. The handles of some items were serrated enough to cut your hand. Finally, they stated that it is an FDA-approved, BPA-free silicone. There is no quick way to confirm this as there is no documentation, markings or certifications to prove it. All in all not worth the headache or possible food poisoning. Skip it and buy a better product.
