Some installation issues (on my cheap interior doors!) but they're really good

My house has a pair of doors that lead to the garage when the room is sliding and they are screen doors open outside, the wind blowing through the house slams one/both doors! At the same time, I used a pair of rubber wedge doorstops. Pretty ugly. And it hurts a little. So I see these and I say - hey, magnetic stoppers! 4 ordered and installed yesterday, satisfied. A bit expensive but quite good quality. A few tips: WORD 1. The short magnetic part that goes to the door (the long part goes to the wall or screws into the baseboard) has a mount where you put screws that screw into the body. Little if a call to remove it. They are presented with only 2 small screw holes. You'll have to improvise some sort of removal tool - I used a large 3" cotter pin bent into a U shape so the two ends are about 3/4" apart. It worked well. WORD 2. This short piece that goes into the door requires two screws and most interior doors have an empty space under most of the outside of the door that is only 1/4 inch thick and can be made out of a material that is even cheaper than thin plywood. If you use their long screws they won't go into anything and you can easily remove the screw in the mount. They give you anchors but the fit is tight and the first one I used caused the anchor to break and twist into the hole! I then used my own anchors (which held up better) and my own screw (which was easier to screw into the anchor without the anchor turning). Two of those four doorstops were at the end of the door, so no problem - the door was all wood. However, I had to install two of these stops about 14" and 18" from the hinge side of the door, and this is where I had trouble making sure the fastener was secure enough and the anchors in the door hollow section worked. (If you have my problem, you'll understand what the problem is. It just requires a little care during installation.) Bottom line, they're really good. They do their job. i need white Really good looking. And they hold up pretty well. Five stars.
