My child was warm and dry while skiing. It's great quality which meant it was a little heavier than I expected. The jacket is also a bit bulkier than we expected. If you're trying to be very active in this jacket, you might want to opt for a little less volume. The hood does not fit my tall child. Just to evaluate objectively, none of these things require less stars, it's just a preference and it would only have true value if we tried on jackets in a store, we could opt for a less baggy jacket, that's all.
