Review on 🌬️ Casablanca Caneel Bay Indoor/Outdoor Ceiling Fan: Energy-efficient LED Light & Convenient Wall Control by Nicole Jones

We have had this fan for about 2 years now. We buy the Caneel Bay style from the Casablanca line for the aesthetic appeal. The fan is expensive and the materials are a little worse than expected (like faux wood plastic blades), but when it's 10 feet off the ground you really can't see it. Some reviews mention the remote control. Our control is built into the wall. You can adjust the fan speed and light brightness. The remote functionality isn't as easy as I'd like, but what really worries me is the beep. All switching functions, on/off, faster, slower, brighter, dimmer, pressing ALL the buttons produces an annoying series of beeps. I can't imagine why this would be desirable for every end user and I find it very annoying. However, my biggest issue with this fan is the lighting. There are 3 light bulbs in the frosted glass display case. The problem is that each lamp socket is listed as having a maximum wattage of 14 or possibly 14.5 watts. This means that a) you cannot use an incandescent lamp and b) your maximum light output is limited. Our fan/light is the only light source at the end of our kitchen for a 10 foot diameter circular space. With 3 x 14W LEDs (I tried to maximize the light output outside of the starter bulbs) the light output is extremely poor. The matte body blocks most of the light output. It's a shame to invite family to parties and have them sit under this fan. We schedule our appointments during daylight hours to reduce the time it takes our guests to congregate in our dark dining room. Possibility. Too bad we didn't spend the money on this attractive fan. With 3 bulbs I never thought there would be problems with the light output. When you purchase it (or in the manual) it doesn't state that each of your bulbs is limited to 14 watts. This is a serious design flaw in my opinion and I encourage potential buyers to read other Revain reviews that have come to the same conclusion.
