Epson Protected: Printer ink and toner
6100 (at least ) have room for a chip in their own ink cartridges, resulting in the printer not being able to work without those special cartridges which are ridiculously expensive . The whole thing was very annoying and is entirely up to Epson. I'm not inclined to buy another brand of printer just to appease my anger. I think alternative cartridge manufacturers should be aware of this.
