Replace the switch, not the fan!

The switch on our ceiling fan is defective. So much wear and tear, no wonder. But we didn't want to replace the fan just yet so I bought this part and our electrician removed the exact same old one and installed this one. The hardest part, he regretted, was getting the wires out of the existing switch to install (they just plug in) into the new switch. He recommends getting them out with an open paper clip. Of course with the switch off. The switch works like a charm. The next fan will have a remote control to avoid the more archaic pull chain issue, but we were able to put that decision on hold because of this new switch.
