we were able to load the roof bag with holiday luggage and those attachment points worked very well. A few notes: I used small pieces of pool noodle to protect the paint where the straps are rubbing at the top of the door. It worked fine this time, but if we use them more often I'll buy some paint protector. Not sure if it was because of those fasteners or just the load shifting early in our ride, but after about 10 minutes I stopped and checked the straps and they were a bit loose. I just kept tightening them after about 30 minutes of riding and they stayed tight until we unloaded the bag. Any time you need to use a tie down, you need to make sure it stays taut after a short ride. Don't be the one on the side of the road picking up things that have fallen on the road and are a traffic hazard!
