This bluetooth OBD reader is quite easy to use on my 2011 135i. You need to download and install the application that comes with this application on your phone. The app immediately connected to the device (red when not paired, green when paired). After selecting your vehicle series and going to your vehicle, you can perform multiple scans. The application also allows you to view data from various sensors/functions in real-time (there may be a slight delay). This can be useful when looking at how stats change over time as you rev the engine or drive, depending on what you're looking at. When I ran a full scan, it found 1 code that appears to be from a previous job (dashboard). ) and I was able to clean up this code. After another scan it didn't show up. I am the third owner of my car, still have the battery that was installed before I bought it a few years ago. The scan did not provide any information about the battery, except that the voltage could be checked. I could write down the battery data if I knew it. As I don't currently need to replace the battery I can't comment on how well this actually works with the battery "registration" process, but knowing that should make this job worth buying. offer what some others do, where you can display multiple readings at once in the form of a manometer (to display temperature, pressure, and several others at once). Maybe this is something the developers can add. Aside from my last comment so far I like the adapter and I like that it's Bluetooth and not WIFI like the other similar adapter I have so I still have WIFI reception when using the adapter.
