I bought these to cover the top of a used dresser that had a lot of stains and water marks on the surface. The width of this runner is perfect and covers almost the entire area. I made sure to buy a length that would allow one foot to hang down each side so there was room for the burlap bows. The material is quite strong and thin but ideal for this purpose. The color appears to shimmer a bit, giving it a silvery sheen, but it's still clear that it's grey. I love how simple it looks but it decorates the dresser perfectly. I highly recommend this for a countertop or dresser.
