- These chips have different logo engravings - The official utility FTDO FTProg does not recognize the device - Update: serial number A50285BI is a common fake serial number - EEPROM setting does not work via libftdi as it works on the original Chip with the same program - The chip says 232RL while there is no L in the USB device name - "Issue number" in the EEPROM is 0000 - Of the two I unpacked, one doesn't even turn on. My chip doesn't work because I need to invert. It might work if you just want a simple non-inverted standard baud rate serial adapter with no bit burst, but none of the fancy FTDI features seem to work for them.
