    Not fully compatible with Apple MagSafe Charger

    This item is not fully compatible with Apple MagSafe Charger. In order for it to work properly, you need to try different cable and adapter orientations (both reversed and rotated). Be patient, there is a solution. Once you find it, make a note of it and mark it accordingly. I also bought silicone straps to help with the orientation problem. Yes, my cat is teething.

    The adapter works great with USB Power Delivery and Lightning

    When I had to connect the YubiKey 5C NFC (male) to the iPad Pro (Lightning) to access Google Advanced Protection, all I could do was USB -A received with the Apple adapter. I had a USB to AC charging cable (male) and needed this adapter to connect the two plugs together. It also passes higher PD voltages. With everything running over USB-C, this is a must-have adapter for your toolbox.

    Must be tipping, but not the fault of the plug.

    This does exactly what it's supposed to do. It connects two male USB-C ports. You may need to flip one of the male ports upside down when using it to connect wire to wire, but that's not the female/female port's fault. The USB-C wire specification only connects about half of the pins. So if they don't line up, the data pins won't be connected across both wires.

    Works with Raspberry Pi Canakit power supply and switch!

    You will need to use a right angle USB-C cable to power your Raspberry Pi via the Canakit power supply which comes with a built in switch. I used this to connect the male end of a rectangular power cord to the male end of a Canakit switch. Worked like a charm and saved me from buying a new switch/power supply. I used heat shrink tubing to permanently hold this adapter to the switch. Excellent purchase!

    Doesn't work for Oculus Quest

    I bought this cable because I read another person's review that this product works with Oculus Quest. I have two cables that individually work fine for Oculus Quest, but when connected to this adapter, Oculus is not recognized. Maybe it works for other purposes like charging a cell phone or something, but it doesn't work for Oculus Quest 2. I even reversed the polarity of the cable and adapter several times, also on the laptop and the Quest, but it didn't work. work in any configuration.

    This coupler works great. I was skeptical as I tried many different cables. I looked forward to dropping the power cord, HDMI, and optional USB cable. I had a 3ft USB-C 3.1 cable that came with my Samsung 43"CJ890 monitor, but it wasn't long enough. I found a 6.6ft Thunderbolt cable, which also works as you will see in the photos.     It works, but with a catch.

    Not sure if this is a limitation of this particular product or the USB-C spec itself, but there is a little quirk to make this work properly. For this to work, the adapter and cables must be oriented a certain way at both ends. If they are, then it works great. If not, it's like a dead wire. I specifically use it to connect a short USB-C to Lightning cable (thanks Apple for making the dream of a one-cable future come true!) to a longer USB-C cable, and it works great as long as I plug it in…
