This thermometer works well for it's intended use. I really liked the fact that it has a bendable tip so it makes it easier for little mouths. Remember when you were a kid using the good old fashioned mercury thermometer and it hurt your mouth and was awkward? Not this one.This thermometer is accurate. I always test a new thermometer when I'm not sick to make sure we get a 98.6 degree read. You never want to be questioning accuracy when someone had a high fever.The only feature I wish it had was that you are able to clear the previous # to a '000' read for a retest. This would be helpful when you have a sick child that doesn't want to have their temperature taken a second time let a lone a first time. It would let you know it's ready. I guess you could wait for it to turn off for a '000' read. IT DOES read a new temperature with the previous temperature there, its just you don't know if it's ready to restart.
