Overall good tool but the oil plug is 5/8 inch lower than my manifold. The overall length is correct, the top fits perfectly into the manifold fitting on the inlet. My temporary solution was to fold the washers under the plug lift and fit to the manifold dimensions i just let the top snap ring hold the whole shaft no problem it worked worked fine my car is a 1999 suburban with the 7.4 vortec my permanent solution was around asking a friend to cut two slits in the shaft 5/8 inch from the originals. All you need is a lathe, which I don't have. By cutting new slots I can return the ball to its original position or raise it where it works on my motor.
