I wanted shoes for my grandchildren. They used them in the fall and winter, so they needed waffle soles for muddy terrain that can also be icy. Closed, reinforced toes and heels are also required to protect against the cold, sticks and stones. They should also be easy for 6-year-olds to turn on and off. These shoes met all of these requirements. My grandchildren love them. Let's say they're the most comfortable shoes I've ever bought. I will buy this brand again next year.
