Be careful when the tip is worn out!

The most important thing I want to say about this pen is that you need to keep a close eye on the tip to tell when it's worn out. The pixel tip is a metal cone with a small rubber cap. At the end. This small piece of rubber is what you typically drag across the screen. As the tip wears, the rubber on one side detaches and falls away from the metal cone, leaving you with a square metal edge that is now the physical interface with your i-Device's screen. Not good! Carefully! And while the cancel/backspace keys are great, it means you typically hold the stylus in a certain position and therefore don't wear the rubber evenly around its circumference. Instead, it wears away in a spot that normally comes in contact with the screen. In my case, I had this stylus for five months and used it fairly sparingly before the rubber on the tip failed. I had to order replacement tips directly from Adonit, shipping from the UK took about three weeks. Another complaint I have is that the attachment flexes a bit - it presses against the body when pressure is applied. - which reduces the delicacy of working with a pressure-sensitive pen. Your first small effort results in physical movement of the tip, not transmission of pressure information to the pen and device. With an MSRP of $75, this stylus doesn't come cheap. If you're buying a stylus for your iPad Pro, just spend the extra $25 and get an excellent Apple Pencil. If you don't have an iPad Pro, the imperfect Pixel is still one of the best options for you. Artists will find the pressure sensitivity useful. Just make sure you check the tip often enough to avoid scratching your screen with that metal edge.
