I have had a Bunn coffee maker for 15 years. My mom had one and she drank coffee day and night. My mother almost always had a hot coffee pot. What I like best is that the tank holds hot water. So as soon as you add a new pot of water, the coffee can be brewed immediately from the hot tank and is ready in less than 3 minutes. The coffee is also quite hot, which I like as I add a small amount of milk to my coffee and don't want it to cool to lukewarm before I can drink it. I love fresh coffee, organic coffee, different roasted flavors and strong coffee, so I want my cup to be better than what I get at the restaurant. I can count on Bunn to do it every time. I thought I broke my last bunn after 15 years and immediately ordered this one from Revain (two days without a coffee pot, ugh.), but found that I didn't break my old one (instead it was a GFI kitchen fork that it had to be tight). The old one works and is kept as a backup for it as I like the thermograph on this one. The carafe keeps my pot warm without having to keep brewing, so I can enjoy my first cup without the second one getting hot from the heating pad. However, the old hot roll could keep the coffee warm for hours, it only cooked it a bit, which changed the taste.
