Review on 🎦 Premium 4K@60Hz HDMI Switch - SkycropHD 5 Port HDMI 2.0 Switcher with Remote | Auto Switch, HDR10, Dolby Vision, Dolby Atmos | Ultra-Fast 18Gbps, CEC Support by Ron Patel

Revainrating 5 out of 5

A simple way to add additional HDMI ports to your TV or receiver.

I had too many devices that required 4k. My Yamaha receiver has 5 but only 3 of them are 2.2 compatible. My Samsung TV has 2 of these, one of which is used for ARC. The TV cannot transmit Atmos to the receiver via ARC. There has to be eARC for that. So I've now connected this switch to HDMI 1 on the receiver and ARC from the receiver to the TV. I connected a PS3 to the second input of the TV, Atmos doesn't matter there. The other two 2.2 compatible ports on the receiver are the Xfinity 4k DVR box and my PS5. I've connected my PS4, 4k Firestick, Sony 4k DVD player and Xbox One X to the Switch, giving me two non-2.2 connections on the receiver and one 2.2 connection on the Switch. I don't use the Switch's auto-switching feature because all of my devices are set to have a Harmony Elite remote and a hub controlled by Alexa or the remote. Sometimes things get out of sync and I have to use the remote that comes with the switch to switch to the correct input, but that's very rare. The buttons on the remote control require a lot of pressure to operate. Before you ask, no Harmony Hub will be powering the PS5, although I hope it's added soon. Logitech is giving up its remote lines but says they'll continue to support them. Better get one now if you want one.
