I had too many devices that required 4k. My Yamaha receiver has 5 but only 3 of them are 2.2 compatible. My Samsung TV has 2 of these, one of which is used for ARC. The TV cannot transmit Atmos to the receiver via ARC. There has to be eARC for that. So I've now connected this switch to HDMI 1 on the receiver and ARC from the receiver to the TV.
