Review on πŸ’‘ TORCHSTAR Daylight UL Listed LED Bulb with Incandescent Equivalence by Amy Monson

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Exactly what I need even if the description is wrong.

First let me say they are perfect. The brightness of 820 lumens and the brightness of 3000,000,000,000,000,000,000 provide the perfect amount of light without leaving the "hard white" territory. I will definitely buy more of these. Now for the rest. I don't understand why it is difficult for people to understand the relationship between the terms "warm", "soft", "cold" and "daylight" and the numbers 2700K, 3000K, 5000K and 6500K to understand. The "warmth" spectrum works with the warmest color with the lowest number. Therefore, "warm white” is 2700K, "soft white” is 3000K, "cool white” (approximately and with many variations) is 3500-5000K, and daylight is 6500K. I understand there are MANY different opinions, but they are wrong . Ask a professional lighting technician. I usually use 2700K (warm white) bulbs. Many sellers make the mistake of calling them soft white or 3000K warm white, so I end up ordering bulbs hoping that one of their descriptions (name or number) is wrong, unfortunately wrong about 40% of the time. Even if you ask, they are often wrong again. Just take a look at the Q&A section of this list! For example, I bought some LED bulbs and they told me they were *definitely* warm white and 2700K, but I got soft white and 3000K (measured by the meter). Luckily I was able to buy a light gel as a puck light and warm up the tone to around 2700K. At the same time, these lamps are 3000K SOFT WHITE. This is exactly what I wanted for the laundry room in the basement. Bright but not sharp, but not too "yellow". As mentioned, these bulbs are nice and bright. Many LED bulbs are around 750 lumens, which is underpowered, but at 820 lumens, they're perfect. If you're looking for the feel of a super warm old incandescent bulb, this isn't it. If you are looking for bright light without harshness, these are your lamps.

Pros

Cons
  • Questionable purchase for seniors
