My little savior from Havana, Toby, was scared of all things when I had him. It's been almost a year and he's doing great now, but it took patience, common sense and certain tools to build his confidence. This nurturing hand was one such tool. He pulled back until he was almost on the table I tended to him and the wet dog is slippery. I got this hand and used the front and back loops to hold it in place for the first few baths I gave it. When he gained confidence and stopped fighting me, I removed the back strap and he got up pretty good. Over time I stopped using the front loop. The hand is right there, ready if I need it, but it definitely helped me get through the difficult times with Toby. I highly recommend it. It is well made, very adaptable and durable. And I love purple!
