Used on a router slide to plan cedar for a table. I used a Dewalt DW618D 2-1/4 HP variable speed router. It worked very well. This bit cuts very smoothly. If my homemade sled was a few thousandths smaller on each side, it wouldn't need sanding. I went 2 inches through the carriage on each pass and got a 1/2 inch overlap. It cut perfectly, worked smoothly and the cutter didn't interfere at all. I don't cut more than 1/8 inch in each pass. It was the most expensive piece. But with interchangeable blades and 4 cutting edges each, this is the way to go if you want something that's easy to keep sharp.
