I have used Amcrest for years to install new systems and upgrade old systems. Unfortunately, as of today, this will no longer be the case. I purchased this unit as an upgrade for a customer with an existing Night Owl system. After installation, it does not recognize half of the existing cameras. (All chambers are identical). This is coaxial technology, not rocket science. I called support and they told me they have no support for compatibility issues with their systems and they recommended replacing all cameras with Amcrest cameras. Your entire user interface resides on this system, eliminating the need to customize camera manufacturers and setting types. They decided to shut themselves off from the rest of the security world, so their products are useless to me now.
