I use it to automate repetitive tasks that usually take too much time, in other words automating boring stuff! It's also very versatile thanks its extensive API library which allows many customizations of macros using JavaScript or Ruby/RubyMotion (I'm currently developing). The editor is not as friendly but there are some plugins you can install like Better Macro Builder for example when writing your own scripts with JS code blocks etc.. Sometimes getting started might be difficult if this software doesn't come pre-installed along macOS Mojave OS update - at least so far my experience was only installing VSCode didn´t work out well enough yet after 10 minutes trying different things nothing would happen anymore; maybe they will solve these problems soon? Try them first from an evaluation phase before buying anything else ;) Automate repetitive actions such us switching between applications without having manually.
