Growing up in New Orleans, my family often went to the lakefront for seafood lunches. We always carried nutcrackers and nut forks to get all the meat out of cooked crab, and when I found a source for cooked crab in Boston I knew I wanted to find tools like this to get meat out of lobster claws. Even the big claws are a bit small for this nutcracker and the pickaxe isn't as good as a two-pronged fork, but I'm glad I was able to find a tool set that didn't cost a lot of money. or give me more tools than i need for a seafood dinner.
