I don't find the masks very uncomfortable in the short term, but if I have to wear them for a long time I get a little claustrophobic. This mount is soft enough to be comfortable but strong enough to hold its shape. This allows me to breathe easier without having to press the mask against my face. If needed I can tuck it into my mask and it will stay in place but I have 30 of these so I just take a few stitches and sew them to my masks. I have tried two other types of braces. They all have their pros and cons, but this one is my favorite. The bottom of the clip is just below my bottom lip, which I think is right where it should be. It's not designed to sit under your chin.
