Works well. The filter itself is smaller than I expected, fits in my hand (I have small hands) and doesn't feel intrusive at all when placed in the back of my tank. The suction cups are just great. I know this may sound weird but they are just the best suction cups I've ever had in my old little tank, that's how easy it is to move the filter around, but when I put it back in place it stays just the way I left it it. A cool bonus is the ability to rotate the head so the water comes out at a different angle. I tried different positions and the filter continued to work the same, but in the end I left it in its original position for aesthetic reasons. The filter is SILENT. I'm used to the loud hum and hiss of my old filter, but this one is very smooth and soothing to fall asleep to. A recommendation: DO NOT use the filter cartridges they send. Buy your own media. I took a nice foam filter and put it in place along with the ceramic rings. I just take it apart on my weekly water changes, rinse off the scum, then put the ceramic rings in and put it back together, no problem. with filters.
