When I was upgrading my computer, I decided it was time to install a dual 3.5" bay that not only has an LED indicator for each fed drive had, but also another indicator showing that it is being accessed. I especially wanted a device that "locks up" the SATA connectors, since a loose cable is often the last thing on people's mind when troubleshooting. As a completely closed device, installation is simplified and gives the impression of a "complete" device. Everything worked fine for about a week or so. Then I noticed that the top hard drive activity LED was off. I opened up my tower computer, made sure everything was fully plugged in, etc. Threshold, the LED showed power but no activity. I even turned my computer off and on again (just a reboot doesn't reset all the electronics). Bad luck. Maybe I should have opened it up and checked the wires inside, but I didn't. So it will not be replaced by another brand. I find reliability more important than speed in my computers. In my opinion, it must always work the first time, every time, otherwise it will be repaired or replaced.
