This product is the most heartbreaking thing I have ever bought because I had such high expectations. This is Bob and one of his paintings is on a coffee cup that activates when you pour coffee into it. Sounds amazing right? When you pour the coffee it looks really great, when it's cold it's just a black background but it still has Bob's smiling face on it. Here's the problem: This is the most fragile coffee mug I've ever seen. Virtually nothing is needed to scratch the pattern on the front of this mug. And it doesn't have to be a transitional image that scratches; Bob's face is very easy to scratch. I didn't wash it in the dishwasher. Always by hand. I washed it first like I wash other coffee mugs and put it in the dryer. I suspect it hit something else in the mail and got a scratch. Okay, a little weird, but I'll be careful. Other mugs don't have this problem, but what can you do, I can handle it because it's a cool mug. Then I started washing it, immediately drying it and then removing it. I still find him with lots of scratches while seemingly sitting alone in the closet. Aside from inventing an anti-gravity chamber and keeping it aloft where it doesn't touch any other solid material, there's no way to salvage this mug. Now I have to make a decision; keep the cup and watch it slowly deteriorate and hurt me every time I look at it, or throw it away? In the end I think I can just throw it away. If you are used to the people you love hurting you then this mug is perfect.
