Hitachi power tools are now called Metabo and this angle grinder's name 'HPT' reflects HItachi's heritage. A grinder is probably a good thing to have in your toolbox. Angle grinders are a tool that cannot always be replaced by a cordless model. This grinder comes with a thick steel cutting disc. This tool doesn't have a case, and there are enough accessories, so a case would be a good addition. You'll need to keep track of the grinding wheels, the handle (because you'll probably use it without the side handle attached from time to time), and the wrench to remove and install the grinding wheels. The bag makes it easy to store this tool along with its parts. But I end up checking what's here, not what's not, and this is a great, powerful meat grinder. Notable benefits of this grinder include: 1) Brushless AC motor for durability and performance 2) Easy-to-use paddle switch 3) Soft start makes handling easier and safer 4) Anti-lock mechanism cuts power if wheel sticks - kickback protection (and protection against gearbox damage) 5) Protection against power failure. If the voltage is interrupted during operation, the device will only start again after it has been switched off. 6) The wheel guard can be rotated 360 degrees without moving tools. 7) Spindle lock for mounting and releasing the wheels with a button on the top of the tool. I have an old DeWalt saber saw with a small rubber mount attached to the power cord to hold the hex wrench needed to install and remove the blades. Something like this would be a good addition to this tool. However, this is a great grinder from a company known for making quality power tools. Finally, I know I said I wouldn't complain about what's missing from this set, but I don't. I think no angle grinder should be sold without the eye protection that came with the grinder. As far as I know, no company does that. Grinders are extremely dangerous for your eyes. Never use them without safety goggles.
