I need a leg brace to get out of bed, so I need health stuff close to my bed, but I also need all of my leg stuff, ect., so really the only room left is the walls. I was really lazy when I bought these shelves and didn't actually measure the basket I intended them to hold. A good inch of the basket hangs over the shelf, and I thought I'd just see how long it would last.Five months later, and this shelf is still holding up my (fairly heavy) basket filled with a bunch of rx bottles, on a textured wall. I've got another one holding Kleenexes next to it, and another holding a bunch of annoying cords and outlet expanders on another wall. This turned out to be an amazing purchase!
