I have an old Toyota Solara convertible that I want to weatherproof for the inclement weather. This is a great option, but I've found two problems: 1) It's heavy. This is GOOD for most vehicles as the thick material really helps with protection! The disadvantage of convertible tops, however, is that they put extra strain on the most sensitive part of the body. This is a bug that admittedly mostly applies to me and a normal car/SUV wouldn't have this problem. 2) If you have a retractable antenna for your radio you will need to remove it from the top, work hard. This isn't a problem for more modern vehicles with internal antennas, but if you're trying to protect an old or vintage car with a retractable antenna, you should also consider this. asserts that!
