I've tried SO many hair products, many of which do next to nothing but are overpriced. I wanted it to have the consistency of putty, have decent smoothness, be soft enough to emulsify easily in your hands, and work well on fairly fine hair about 2 inches in length. It does everything. And yes, it's better than American Crew's similar product and comes in a larger size. A downside that applies to all products in this category is that they dull your natural shine. I'd love to find something similar that doesn't dull naturally shiny hair (known as "matte"), but apparently that doesn't exist.
