So I followed the reviews and bought 1-2 sizes larger than my daughter's actual outdoor shoe size 12.5/13 (depending on the shoe). I bought sizes 1 and 2 and decided to return the shoes which didn't fit (no pun intended). Well the size 2 was huge and clearly too big for dancing and the size 1 fit but not like a dance shoe should. Too much room around the ankles and toes (last 2 photos). I'm by no means a dance expert, but I'm pretty sure jazz shoes should fit snugly so they don't fall off your feet while you're dancing. So I quickly realized that larger sizes wouldn't work. I went back and ordered her actual size 13 shoes (first 2 photos) and they fit snugly around her ankles with little room in her toes. Even though they are tight, the shoes fit like they should when she puts the tights on. Now you can definitely make them bigger to wear for a few years, but I'm uncomfortable with the fit if you decide to go bigger. As for the quality of the shoes, they seem decent for the price, but it's too early to tell, let's see how they perform in a few months. In truth, I wish I could save some money and buy her shoes that she can grow into and wear for a few years, but I've come to the conclusion that dancing is expensive. At least they're cheaper in the pocket than a Capezio, and at that price it's a lot more affordable to buy her another pair when she outgrows that pair.
