Review on Motorcycle Saddlebags Waterproof Weatherproof Compatible by Mike Gruwell

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Large size, perfect size for a day trip, durability to be determined.

So I hesitated to buy "$40 saddlebags". This is clearly not leather but some other material. I read about the "foam" salon and almost passed by these bags. I'm glad I decided to take the risk. These bags are perfect for my 2000 Honda Spirit VT1100C. I didn't have to change the rear turn signals. Although this substance looks like "foam" it is thick and durable (I've attached a close-up photo). The only reason I'm not giving five stars is because I don't know how long they will last. If they last me two or three years I will update my rating and give them five stars, especially considering the price. There is a plastic liner on the inner wall for extra stability, presumably to help keep the shape. It comes with a cord so you can attach the bags together but I chose to use zip ties for extra strength. There are two side flaps that are designed to help prevent rain getting in or could simply act as a 'funnel' to allow rain to drain. They are the perfect size for day trips. As you can see, four water bottles can be conveniently placed on one side. That leaves the other side for my wife's hairbrush and anything the ladies might need on their outing. Finally, I think they look great on this bike, but that's just my opinion.

Pros
  • Easy to read control panel
Cons
  • I don't have much to complain about, everything is fine
