Before Suchek I bought another stand and thought I found a small stand that could easily hold my iPad Pro in portrait mode. What I learned is that he was only good at one thing while doing everything at once. The other stand was able to hold my iPad at a near-vertical angle in portrait mode, but didn't have enough room to plug in cables in alignment, Suchek nails this on both, coming in at a good 2 to 2.5 inches. Free space in the most upright position. While the other stand was strong and lightweight, it lacked the flexibility and portability to fold into a "flat" format. This meant it was a home/office stand and wouldn't end up in my travel bag. On the other hand suchek does exactly that, with amazingly strong double hinges I can mount this stand and a wider range of angles and still get stability from the heavier metal construction. This would be the only downside I see in a stand, but I know I want something that stays in place when I put it down and also meets those needs. If I need to trade a few ounces for stability, I happily accept that trade. Oh, and the price is about as cheap as another stand that can do little for my needs. Flexibility, stability, portability and low costs? This is an easy purchase if you're looking for a stand.
