It works, only allowed on 2.4GHz, but was able to do what I wanted when practicing penetration testing and monitoring. In the end, I settled on a second, more advanced model that can run at 5 GHz. Then couple them (in software) with some custom Python scripts to cover all the bands/channels you are working on. I've had several very expensive, high-performance routers in my tests that, when paired with a 5GHz adapter with custom Python scripts, seemed to cover the full spectrum of broadcasting. It responds quickly to changes in my custom Python scripts. Worked great for a course I was taking penetration testing and Wi-Fi security.
